Tournament Registration and General Information

Tournament check-in will be held Saturday morning at your team's venue, 90 minutes before your first scheduled game.

The California Spring Cup Tournament Registration Program has been developed to serve all of your application, registration, player roster, bracket information, game schedule and game score needs ON-LINE, including the payment of your Tournament fee.

You begin the application process by completing a simple form and creating your own User ID and Password for future use. You may take as much time as you need to complete your application because you will have the ability to return at any time and work with your application until you actually decide to submit it. Only then are you required to pay the appropriate Tournament fee.

2004 California Spring Cup - March 6th and 7th, 2004

 

The California Spring Cup is a Class I tournament (U. S. only) sanctioned by CYSA-South

Open to all Affiliated CYSA, CYSA-S, USYSA, USSF, Competitive, Recreational, ALL-STAR and AYSO Affiliated Teams Boys and Girls under 9-19.

We reserve the right to move a team to a different age group than requested.

Cost: Entry fee is $400.00 for all teams ($450.00 after February 13, 2004).

 

Tournament Dates: The tournament will be held on March 6th and 7th , 2004. The tournament spans two days with pool play Saturday and Sunday concluding with championship games Sunday afternoon.

 

Make-up Dates: In the event that the tournament must be postponed or cut short, it will be held or continued two weeks later, March 20th and 21st , 2004.

 

Late Registration: Teams applying after February 13th will be accessed an additional $50.00 and will be placed on a waiting list.

Acceptance of any team that submits an application after the deadline is at the sole discretion of the tournament committee. Any late team that is not accepted will receive a full refund.

It must be noted that your application is not deemed submitted until the application has been submitted and your registration fees paid. Please note these deadlines:

1. Refunds: Full refunds will be made to all teams not accepted.


2. Teams must drop in writing prior to February 13th. Refunds provided to teams that drop prior to the deadline, will be assessed a $50.00 administrative fee. Teams that drop after the February 13th deadline will forfeit their entire entry fee.


3. An administrative fee of $125.00 will be withheld from each team's refund if the tournament is cancelled as a result of weather or acts of God after March 5th. If the tournament is cancelled once it begins, refunds will be giving according to the following schedule:

Cancellation of All Matches $275.00 Refund
One Match Played $200.00 Refund
Two Matches Played $125.00 Refund
Three Matches Played No Refund

A match is defined as 50% (half time) completed.

With make-up dates scheduled two weeks later, the possibility that the tournament will be cancelled due to rain is extremely remote. However, in the event that the tournament is postponed or extended to the make-up weekend, teams that choose not to return will forfeit their entire entry fee.

Consideration of partial refunds for non-returning teams that have traveled from outside of the Southern California region will be at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

4. Early registration does not guarantee acceptance. All applicants will be approved or denied acceptance by the selection committee to insure competitive soccer.


5. Early acceptance for those teams outside of CYSA-South may be granted to those requesting consideration.


6. There will be a Mandatory Registration Session, details of which will be included in your acceptance letter.


7. Current player identification cards, medical release forms (registration forms), as well as travel papers for teams not affiliated with CYSA-South are required.

Important Note: Birth certificates along with approved league/region team roster signed by league registrar and/or league administrator may be accepted for proof of age if player I.D. Cards not available (AYSO TEAMS ONLY), subject to approval of the tournament committee, and must be available for inspection during the tournament.

 

Loaned Players: Loaned players will be allowed (UNLIMITED) with a maximum roster of 18 players for U11-U19. For U9-U10, loaned players allowed (UNLIMITED) with a maximum roster of 14.

 

Games: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games. Length of games will be 50 minutes for U9-U14 teams and 60 minutes for U15-U19.

All championship games will be regulation times per age group.

 

Bracketing: It is the intent of the tournament to bracket in flights of 6, 8, 12 or 16 teams. Variations may occur based on total teams entered or subsequent team drops.

 

Awards: Each participant will receive a tournament souvenir.

Spring Cup: The 2004 California Spring Cup will be presented to the championship coach.

Medals: Champion and Finalist medals will be presented to those teams participating in the final match.
